Happy Hallowe'en

Happy hallowe'en. This weeks letter is X and i have a sexy creature of the night flying throught the air.  Had a lot of fun with this one and a bit of a tough time with the skin tone. Enjoy this one since it will be the last for a bit must finish some other projects that where started before the pin ups then i will continue on with the alphabet.

Finally done! This one took me a while (stupid guns...I hate you). But clearly it's the letter A. This one was a bit of  a challenge however I discovered some new things in photoshop (they're probably general knowledge things but now I know and that's what counts.) This time around the letter gets 3 varients. Started off with the nude and the jean versions  then decided to tease people a bit more with the underwear and star shaped pasties.  Now that it's done I can start the next letter.....hopefully this one won't take so long.

Whoopsie!

Sorry this one is a late but Halo Reach does that to a lot of things.  this time around I did W, I happy with the way tho pose turned out and the colouring is getting better. I have noticed though that I've done 3 brunettes now so I think the next one will be anything but. Not that theirs is anything wrong with brunettes mind you.  Anyway a new letter in less than two weeks now and I hope to post other things soon that aren't just cheese cake I can draw other things to you know like comic pages.

B is for back to school

14 days later and kids and college students are all back in school learning. So i figured I'd keep up with the mood and have this letter with a Catholic School girl who likes to gyrate her hips around.....with hula hoops...yeah (it keeps her in practice since it's an all girl school). Not sure if i managed to get a latino skin tone here although I'm not sure if there is a specific "latin" skin tone?  Anyway hope you enjoy gonna go pick up Halo Reach today and be bad and not draw for a couple days but instead play video games whoo! Then get back to work on my Marvel resubmission pages.

Best Alphabet EVER!

26 letters in the alphabet and i plan on doing 26 pin-ups for every single one.  All started with a sketch that resembled the letter 'F' and it got my gears a turn'in and the juices flowing(......brain juices). Plan on finishing one every 2 weeks. (This is a great way to keep my blog up to date :P on a regular basis). Here's the first pin-up both naughty and nude version. Enjoy.

Fan Expo 2010 Sample Pages

Fresh from there debut at Toronto's Fan Expo 2010 are my sample pages that I presented to artists and publishers.  Got a lot of help information and a tiny tiny amount of praise for the pages. These pages made the cut to get a Marvel editor (C.B. Cebulski) to give them a review which was the highlight of the con for me since it means i'm improving.   Marvel and Zenoscope asked for me to contact them after the con for scripts so that I can resubmit which is great. I Still have a long way to go but I'm gonna go the distance come hell or high water or an alien zombie virus......mostly because I'm one stubborn s.o.b..

Make sure to eat your Iron.......fist

I have been wanting to draw an Immortal Ironfist for a long time now but could never find a pose or mood I was happy with. Well no more, looking forward to colouring this piece since it will help "swoosh" the swooshing swirling chi flowing around. 

May have another post before the end of the month, getting pages ready for Toronto's Fan Expo which I still need to buy tickets for.......I really need to that.....maybe later

Blogs are so hard to do.....maybe if i bought it a couple of drinks first?

Man keeping up a blog is harder than I thought, and I thought it was ridiculous hard to start with. So I've been working blah blah blah blah not that anyone reads this or cares.  But here is a recent gift I did for my sisters boyfriends nephew or little brother or something like that.

I have some more stuff but for now just this maybe some colours and inks in the future after FanExpo.

2010 Ride to Conquer Cancer.

This is a Cycling jersey that I designed for a company called Rack Attack for the 2010 Toronto Ride to Conquer Cancer. I am quite happy with the way it turned out for my first jersey design. Rack Attack road both days of the event and surpassed their goal of $31 500.00 in donations. I congratulate all 10 team members especially Craig Sandy. The team road for "The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret"

The sexy and lovely lady modeling the jersey is a close friend, however she wished to remain anonymous. A thank you goes to her as well.

Yup Too much Brutal Legend.

Her are some pieces from my sketch book that started as rough sketches about October of 2009 when I was playing EA's Brutal Legend. Real fun game,  made me draw a bunch of naked to half naked (mostly naked :D ) women with swords and animal skin and chains etc.. Yup good good times.

Any way here are a couple of the sketches that I fleshed (haha flesh) out more recently. Used pencil only and adjusted levels in CS4.

Action Annie Away......hmmmm triple A

Alright so here are a few pages done for the Max the Mutt anthology book that is being published for the graduating class of the Sequential Arts program.


Mine are of my own concept for a  character called Action Annie.  No super powers, think Indiana Jones, mixed with the Rocketeer and a healthy helping of Talespin. Plan on continuing to create the world and create stories.  Take a look and enjoy and maybe someday you'll see more of the Adventures of Action Annie!

Ok so I finally have my computer up and running with a real copy of CS4 now so I can finally update my blog and Deviant Art pages on a more regular basis. so maybe 2 times a month..........

Alright! so today I have some Jedi pages that were loosely scripted by Dave Ross as and assignment.  I really like how somethings came out, others not so much, but I'll never be completely happy with anything I do. Ever, haha. 

Life begins at...whatever time I start drawing.

Here are 4 penciled pages using an Ultimates Script. Originally it called for Captain America and Iron Man, but since the book came out I love the New Avengers so I subbed Bucky Captain America and Ms. Marvel for Steve and Tony.

I'm happy with the layout of the pages and the improvement I've made on my pencils but like everything in life I still have to work at it more.  Hope you like them and any comments and constructive criticisms are welcome. I use a harder pencil so my pencils a fairly light so all images had Auto Level tossed on them in photoshop to darken the lines a bit more.

I am working towards becoming a freelance artist and comic book illustrator, so any feed back on areas of improvement or general helpful tips and tricks are welcome. And I'm always looking for work to better myself and my bank account.
